MOCK INSPECTION

Business Meeting

Is your agency ready for your next inspection?

Be prepared for your inspections!

It is important for home care agencies to be prepared for inspections in order to ensure that they are meeting the necessary regulations and standards. A mock inspection, conducted by our TrustedADVISERS can be a useful tool to help you prepare for an actual inspection by simulating the process and identifying areas that may need improvement.

During a mock inspection, a TrustedADVISER will visit your agency and review your policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure that you are in compliance with relevant regulations. They will provide feedback and guidance on any areas that need improvement and may make recommendations for changes or updates to your compliance practices.

By scheduling a mock inspection, you can better understand the expectations and requirements of an actual inspection and take steps to address any potential areas of non-compliance and make necessary changes before they become a problem. This can help to ensure that your agency is well-prepared and able to successfully pass an actual inspection.

If you are interested in scheduling a mock inspection for your home care agency, you may want to consider hiring a TrustedADVISER. These professionals can provide an on-site inspection and provide feedback and recommendations for improving compliance and addressing any potential issues.

Our clients rave about these mock inspections and have found them to be invaluable!

What happens during a Mock Inspection?

One of our TrustedADVISERS arrives at your location and conducts a live inspection similar to a licensing agent. During the mock inspection we do the following:

  • Review a percentage of your personnel file for in-house accounts (licensee, staff, and affiliated home care aides)

  • Verify TB exams

  • Verify training logs

  • Verify all Home Care Services Bureau mandated forms are present and correct

  • Review I-9 forms

  • Review labor law postings

  • Review Administrative Records documentation (initial application paperwork and renewal application paperwork)

  • Review updated insurance policies are in place

  • Review Guardian update

  • Review findings of our audit at the end of our visit with you and whomever you wish to invite. All clients find this to be the most important piece. Here is a chance to have a live review of a Plan of Correction and we review "best practices" and process to maintain compliant files. This is usually 90 minutes to 2 hours.

  • We provide you with a written report with our audit findings similar to a licensing inspection report

Virtual inspections available too!

The Mock Inspection lasts approximately 4 to 6 hours (depending on the number of affiliated personnel and the Exit Interview)

Be Confident in Your HCO’s Inspection Readiness

During the mock inspections we conduct for home care organizations, we point out consistent deficiencies being made on the required forms. Fines & Fees for cited deficiencies are imposed per incident, per day – until the analyst is notified by you that the deficiency has been corrected. The analyst may conduct another unannounced inspection to make sure you have corrected the deficiency(ies).

Scheduling a mock inspection can help you and your staff know that they are prepared for when the state inspector arrives.
